BLUE COLLAR KENNEL'S STORY

Twenty nine years of public service provided me with core values and taught me the power of love.

Dogs (Olde English Bulldogges) have taught me unconditional love in its true form. Being a caretaker of dogs is extremely humbling and fulfilling. The responsibility of caring for a dog builds a foundation for being a good person and/or parent. I take the responsibility of producing your new family member seriously and passionately. I truly believe every kid deserves a dog and every dog deserves a kid (even adult kids). Come meet your best friend in a big red barn!

My Story

I began breeding Boxers in 2000. I bred boxers for 9 years establishing a successful line (Blue Collar Kennel). Blue Collar was an easy name choice. My family comes from a line of Blue-Collar workers. I pride myself in the Blue-Collar work ethic; never let anyone outwork you. I also spent 29 years wearing a blue uniform serving the public.

At the time, I lived in a residential urban area. I loved the experience of producing quality family pups. I struggled with not having the space to provide the life I wanted for my dogs. Through study, advice, and experience, I built a dream, in my head, of the way I wanted to do things in the future.

Boxers are an amazing family dogs but very high energy and socially extreme and thus high maintenance. I had a poor experience with a pair of English Bulldogs. I loved the bully build/look and more moderate social demands, but their complete lack of athleticism and poor health made ownership a draining experience.

One of my neighbors began walking a loving, playful, athletic, robust build dog who looked to be the ultimate blend of the best features of the Boxer and English Bulldog=Olde English Bulldogge. The love affair began.

In 2014, I purchased a dilapidated 5-acre ranch. I developed my blood line and built my kennel following my dream for my dogs. My dogs are paired for socialization. Each kennel is of 20’ x 30’ or larger for daily exercise. They have obstacles and toys to keep their interest. A/C, turf, quarter minus ground cover, trees for shade, and indoor insulated shelter for comfort. My dogs are on a complete nutritional diet and filtered water to ensure health. Pack members stretch their legs on 5 acres to complete their exercise routine. Daily love and socialization facilitate the temperament we pride ourselves in our pups.

My wife, Cyndi, has supported my dream. Part of our strong bond is a mutual love and compassion for animals.
